Toshiba bdx2300 smart wifi blu-ray player

Select the Yes and press OK to continue to establish a new connection. Under Wireless Setting select Scan. Select Next at the bottom and press the OK button. The player will scan for wireless networks within range "Scanning" will be displayed. Enter the security key when prompted by pressing the OK button and using the on-screen keyboard.

Select Next and press OK. The player will attempt to connect to the network "Waiting" will be displayed. When connection to network is made, "Connection success and IP is obtained" will be displayed. Press OK. Discovered a few others with the same issue on different television brands. Cons: Doesn't play blue-ray, DVDs play with subtitles, doesn't respond to remote control, doesn't respond to hard wired buttons, I've tried unplugging the unit to reset with no change, returned the unit for replacement and the replacement jammed as soon as I turned on the power.

The replacement suffers from the same defective WiFi issue. None of the three methods for connecting yielded any results. I'm disappointed in the craftsmanship from a name brand device. If functioning WiFi is not a concern for you, then this might be an appropriate purchase. I had selected this product mostly for the advertised ability to stream content from internet sources Netflix, Hulu, etc and with repeated defective units, I would recommend against purchasing this player.

Overall Review: I will have spent half the cost of my original purchase in postage for the shipping of defective units. I expected higher quality from Toshiba. Pros: Interface seemed very intuitive and user friendly. Many features I was looking for in regards to streaming content. Cons: Worked on wireless connection for several hours. Attempted every other method of connecting wirelessly manual and PIN and was unable to get any signal at all.

Opened up an RMA and I'm responsible to ship it back at my cost. Overall Review: Perhaps I have just had bad luck with defective products lately, but it seems that online retailers are sending out junk products and expecting the consumer to jump through an increasing amount of hoops to get what they paid for.
