After awhile Risk for the Xbox is entertaining. After awhile that feeling doesn't stay. Glitches appear, including audio and lagging. The difficulty system is alright and it works. The game isn't hitting its true potential it has, and with only two or three game modes including multiplayer which is either fun or frustrating , the game isn't all there.
Which is unfortunate. RISK steps into the near future with modern armies. Using the rules as standard, Risk offers an exciting strategic experience. I remember an old computer game that used more detailed areas of Germany, Asia, the Mediterranean, etc. At any rate, this version of Risk is fairly versatile play the original, rule set, or add in their quirky twists, and the animations can be entertaining to watch. Very solid interpretation of the board game. Especially fun when played against other humans.
